American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PCU/ICU Stepdown position requiring at least one year of recent PCU experience and NIH Stroke certification.

• ICU Stepdown unit with 20 beds and a staff of approximately 40 RNs and PCTs
• Day shift team includes 1 charge RN, 5 nurses, and 3 PCTs; night shift includes 1 charge RN, 5 nurses, and 2 PCTs
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Shift hours are 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• 13-week assignment
• Uses telemetry, transport monitors, suction, feeding pumps, trachs, BiPAP, CPAP, heated high flow, chest tubes, foleys, pacer wires/pacers, IV pumps, and SCD pumps
• Meditech EMR used
• Performs procedures including chest tube placement and removal, pacer wire removal, and 12-lead EKGs
• Manages drips such as heparin, tikosin, diltiazem, amiodarone, nitro, Lasix, and ketamine

• Active RN license, CO or compact, required
• Minimum 1 year of current PCU experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certification required
• Cardiac or neuro experience preferred

• Fast-paced, high-acuity cardiac unit recognized as a center of excellence for cardiac care
• Team-oriented environment seeking high-energy, collaborative candidates
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be considered
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months are permitted
