American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a busy telemetry floor specializing in spinal cord injury and flap patients, requiring a CO or compact RN license and at least one year of recent hospital Med/Surg experience.

• 33-room unit with up to 49 beds, including some semi-private rooms used during high census
• Patient ratios of 4:1 on day shift and 5:1 on night shift
• Uses telemetry monitoring equipment
• Charting performed in Meditech
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 13-week assignment length

• Active RN license (CO or compact) required
• Minimum 1 year of current hospital Med/Surg experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with spinal cord injury (SCI) patients preferred
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility

• Care for patients with spinal cord injuries and stage 4 wounds requiring surgical intervention
• Partner with the burn unit to provide care for low-acuity burn patients
• Perform wound care and occasional bowel program care
• Occasional light burn care duties
• Best suited for RNs who enjoy a fast-paced, busy floor environment
• Unit staffed with charge nurses and techs on both day and night shifts
