Job Responsibilities- Assist in the supervision of the day-to-day operations of the Department name department.
- Help lead the team in their daily processes and procedures.
- Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
- Oversee routing of specimens to their respective prep areas.
- Encourage process improvements and best practices.
- Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Resolve any production errors as requested by management.
- Research and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessary.
- Engage in continuous process and service level improvements.
- Enforce and manage policies and procedures.
- Perform administrative duties as needed.
- Minimum:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent, 3+ years of experience. - Preferred:
Current or prior Labcorp experience. - Associate’s degree, 3+ years of experience in a medical/clinical laboratory.
- 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Familiarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures.
- Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal.
- High level of attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to make decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position.
- Must be able to pass a standardized color‑blindness test.
25.50 per hour plus 3rd shift differential.
