** How This Role Works:*

** Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"):
** You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

** Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:
** In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

** Responsibilities:*
* + Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.

+ Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and help to support orderly operations during routine and high-activity periods.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.

+ Monitor access points and sensitive areas, assist with visitor directions and general information, and document incidents, observations, and/or requested assistance according to site procedures.

+ Work collaboratively with location personnel and emergency responders when needed, while following post instructions and maintaining a visible presence throughout assigned areas.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.

+ Meet hospital vaccine requirements.

+ Be able to work in a hospital setting that includes a morgue.

+ Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ Be able to restrain individuals when required in a hospital setting.

+ Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare/medical-related field.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
