Security Officer - On Call Englewood

Job Description

Samaritans Purse is seeking an on‑call Security Officer to serve at its Ministry Center in Englewood and Aurora, Colorado. The officer will protect the safety and well‑being of all persons and property at the assigned location.

• Maintain personal relationship with Jesus Christ and act as a witness for Him
• Conduct yourself as a security professional, deterring undesirable activity
• Greet all staff and visitors, maintaining a visible presence
• Screen pedestrian and vehicular traffic for authorization to enter premises
• Operate security equipment (card access, fire and burglar alarms, video cameras, ministry vehicles)
• Report hazardous conditions and follow call‑in procedures in case of emergency
• Identify threatening individuals and alert local law enforcement
• Be familiar with all Samaritans Purse facilities, policies, procedures, and regulations that affect safety and security
• Monitor activity through regular physical patrols and video surveillance
• Control access during non‑business hours and secure all buildings as scheduled
• Document noteworthy activity in the shift log or appropriate incident report
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Basic law‑enforcement training and minimum three years experience as a law‑enforcement officer or equivalent (required)
• Eligibility to complete and pass required training and certifications
• Basic keyboarding and computer skills (strongly preferred)
• Motivated self‑starter with initiative
• Trustworthy, mature, and patient with routine tasks, yet quick in crisis situations
• Fluency in English (required)
