Our client is a dynamic and innovative company embarking on a new initiative to transition from legacy automation frameworks to cutting-edge technologies. We are seeking a skilled Automation QA to join the team and drive this transition forward. This role offers an opportunity to work at the forefront of automation technology while collaborating closely with Dev Ops teams to optimize CI/CD pipelines.
Position OverviewAs an Automation QA specializing in Playwright and Type Script, you will play a pivotal role in the transition to a modern automation platform. You will be responsible for developing automated scripts, setting up deployment processes, and engaging in high-level discussions with Dev Ops teams regarding CI/CD pipelines. While testing experience is valuable, this role primarily focuses on development tasks with a strong emphasis on Playwright and Type Script expertise.
This is a lead role for the Automation team.
- Develop automated scripts using Playwright and Type Script to support testing and automation efforts.
- Collaborate with QA and Dev Ops teams to design and implement efficient CI/CD pipelines.
- Engage in high-level discussions with Dev Ops teams to determine tooling preferences and infrastructure requirements for containerization and deployment.
- Provide expertise and guidance on best practices for Playwright, Type Script, and automation development.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize automation processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to automation and Dev Ops practices.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in an automation role.
Technical
Skills:
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and Type Script, with mandatory experience in Playwright.
- Solid understanding of software development principles and practices.
- Strong proficiency in Postman for API testing and automation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools, such as Git Lab, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven experience in collaborating with Dev Ops teams and driving discussions around infrastructure and deployment strategies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with Python is a plus.
Pay Range: $45.00/hour to $50.00/hour.
