Position Summary
The Aquatic Operations Person in Charge (PIC) supports the Aquatics Manager, Supervisors, & Coordinators with the day-to-day operations of the waterpark to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality guest experiences. This position provides on-site leadership during assigned shifts, assisting with staff supervision, operational decision-making, and immediate issue resolution. The PIC helps ensure compliance with safety standards, operational procedures, and emergency response protocols.

- Assists in the operation of sponsored or special events.
- Assists the Department Managers in the safe operation of the facility.
- Assists in decision making on opening and closing facility for inclement weather.
- Assures a clean safe environment.
- Assures the proper daily opening and closing of the facility.
- Will act as first point of contact for guest related issues during daily operational hours.
- Will act as person in charge during private rentals.
- Assists the Aquatics Operations Supervisor with training of aquatics department.
- Works closely with the Aquatic Supervisor and Guest Services Coordinator on the daily coordination of groups, rentals and birthday parties.
- Coordinates, schedules and conducts monthly in-service trainings and all other Lifeguard audit processes.
The person in charge (PIC) must have worked a minimum of 2 years in the department he/she has applied for or equivalent at another aquatic facility and has reached the age of 18 years old. Demonstrated customer service skills and a willingness to help where needed are required for this role. A combination of education and / or experience that has provided the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for excellent job performance.
Must process Ellis & Associates ILTP License, preferably Ellis & Associates ILTP Instructor License for the Pool SOD positions. The Aquatic Operations Person in Charge (PIC) must successfully pass a drug screening.

Hourly Pay Range$22.31 - $33.46/Hourly Rate
