Perform safe and efficient transportation of students on assigned routes. Train, evaluate, and develop bus drivers and bus assistants to maintain skills and service quality. Ensure compliance with transportation standards through instruction, performance monitoring, and documentation. Balance daily route driving with administrative duties, evaluations, and coordination to deliver consistent, safe student transportation services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSThe minimum prerequisites of formal education, professional work experience, certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, trainings, and other criteria that a candidate must fulfill to be considered for a position. It is essential that certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, and trainings are fulfilled, valid, and not expired.
- Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
- High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma
- Two (2) years of school bus driving experience
- Colorado driver’s license
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with both a "P" (passenger) and "S" (school bus) endorsement
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid certification
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must meet insurability requirements of the Colorado School District Self-Insurance Pool
- Must pass Colorado Bureau of Investigation, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Colorado Department of Education screenings
- Must have a clear/clean Colorado Department of Motor Vehicle record within the past three (3) years
- We cannot consider any application for bus drivers until we have an original of your Motor Vehicle Record dated within the past 30 days. We cannot consider any applicant whose license has been suspended/revoked within the past three years or who has had a probationary license for less than three years. We cannot consider any applicant who has been convicted of DUI or DWAI within the past three years.
