Traffic Expeditor
The Traffic Expeditor will coordinate and track customer inbound and outbound delivery safely, efficiently, and timely.

- Routes outgoing shipments through various means of transportation, following standard procedures.
- Oversees equipment availability and helps secure carriers when needed.
- Anticipates weather complications along routes and at the driver's destinations; communicates delays and route changes as necessary.
- Maintains contact with carriers; receives and dispatches response and emergency aid when needed.
- Maintains and reviews billing and operation records; monitors daily logs for errors and or compliance violations.
- Tracks customer inbound and outbound shipments online.
- Schedules loading and unloading appointments with carriers if needed.
- Follow-ups with carriers to ensure timely delivery of the product.
- Processes freight claims.
- Runs customer compliance and other necessary reports from the database system.
- Reviews processes and systems for potential inefficiencies and makes recommendations for improvement.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseEDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING:- High school diploma, or equivalent required
- A minimum of three (3) years experience as a traffic dispatcher or truck broker preferred
- Previous experience moving product by the truckload and LTL (Less than truckload) preferred
- Basic knowledge of freight process
- Beginner MS Office experience (Excel, Outlook), Internet and database programs
- Basic data entry skills
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills to prepare and assign routes
- Strong leadership skills to ensure drivers compliance with direction and assignments
- Basic understanding of the geographical area and mapping programs to facilitate efficient routing
- Proficient with or able to quickly learn dispatch and recordkeeping systems
- Ability to work at a fast pace and under pressure
