Staff Accountant

Our client, a well-established manufacturing company in Englewood, NJ, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their growing accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to expand their experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment while gaining exposure to month-end close, inventory, cost accounting, and financial reporting.

• Prepare and post journal entries and account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts
• Analyze financial data and investigate variances
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed
• Assist with inventory reconciliations and manufacturing cost analysis
• Prepare financial reports and schedules for management
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
• Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environments
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Net Suite, Oracle, Dynamics, or similar
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities

• Manufacturing or cost accounting experience
• Exposure to inventory accounting and inventory reconciliations
• Experience preparing financial statements and supporting audits
