Surgical Coder & Billing Specialist

Billing and Coding Specialist interacts daily with internal and external clients, including surgeons, physicians and advanced practitioners; provides primary diagnosis and procedural coding for surgeries and other procedures to ensure maximum reimbursement; reconciles all surgical cases performed; focuses on physicians' chart abstraction, serving as an on-site liaison to providers for clarification of documentation improvement and coding optimization for compliance and revenue management purposes utilizing documentation for CPT and ICD-10-CM respectively.

• Job Essentials: 3 years Surgical Coding/Outpatient Professional Coding experience. Coding for physicians. Must be available to go to the office up to 3 days per week. Must be knowledgeable of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology. Effective communicator, must be able to communicate with physicians. ICD coding and CPT coding.
• Education Requirements:
  
  HS diploma/GED required. Associate's degree preferred.
• License/Certification/Registry: CPC required

Englewood Health provides a minimum rate to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum rate does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation. In addition to the minimum rate, eligible employees may receive comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other wellness resources.

Salary range: $30.00 - $42.00
