DARCARS Automotive Group is hiring for a Parts Driver.

As the Parts Driver, you will be responsible for transporting parts to the appropriate departments. You may also assist in organizing parts in the stock room.

In this role, you'll:

  • Assist walk-in customers in selecting required parts, suggest additional items, and promote specials.
  • Pull purchased parts from stock.
  • If the part is not in stock, determine availability and submit an emergency order if requested.
  • Answer phone calls, provide price quotes, and other information.
  • Assist outside sales reps with their orders.
  • Set up orders for shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
  • Verify will call and backorder files weekly, and return items to vendors or stock as needed.
  • Solicit assigned accounts by phone.
  • Assist Service Technicians in selecting parts needed for repairs.
  • Notify the service desk and customer when parts are received.
  • Ensure technicians present a repair order before parts are charged out.
  • Display seasonal parts and accessories attractively.
  • Keep bins, aisles, and storage areas clean and labeled.
  • Provide friendly, professional, and efficient service to customers and co-workers.
  • Issue credit slips for returned parts, verifying original invoice or number, with approval from the Parts or Office Manager.
  • Maintain cleanliness of counters and department areas.
  • Report unsatisfactory conditions to the Parts Manager.
  • Stay current on new products and updates.
  • Participate in training programs.
  • Deliver and pick up parts to/from body shops and other locations.
  • Pick up parts from distributors.
  • Deliver parts to wholesale accounts.
  • Keep the parts truck clean, inside and out.
  • Obey all traffic laws while operating the company vehicle.
  • Qualifications & Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills for explaining parts information.
  • Knowledge of automotive OEM parts.
  • 2-3 years of experience in automotive retail parts.
  • Experience with Reynolds & Reynolds preferred.
  • Ability to lift over 50 pounds.
  • Availability to work on Saturdays.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Pass pre-employment background screening.
  • Friendly personality and team player attitude.
