Grants & Sponsored Projects Coordinator - FT
Under the general direction and supervision of the Administrative Director of Grants & Sponsored Projects, the Grants & Sponsored Projects Coordinator will provide technical support in grants management, research and writing, and assist project directors to ensure compliance with grant terms and College policies. This full‑time position is based in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Essential Functions Grants Management- Communicate with project coordinators.
- Request and set up cost centers for new grants.
- Use online tools to track grants and closeout processes.
- Be familiar with all applicable grant compliance guidelines and regulations.
- Coordinate survey projects.
- Maintain the central file of grant records.
- Collect and maintain required forms.
- Keep active grant information updated.
- Assist with preparation for audits and monitoring visits.
- File resource materials.
- Assist with basic research and data collection for grant projects.
- Assist with writing and editing grant applications.
- Assist with report processes.
- Complete specific assignments such as updating previous applications, developing forms, writing and editing reports.

Marginal Functions- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
- May be required to perform associated duties in other divisions or programs as required.
- Perform other College functions and duties as assigned.
- Must be able to work varied days, hours, shifts, locations, and campuses as required.
- Knowledge of basic grant administration processes, including tracking, reporting, and documentation.
- Knowledge of general compliance expectations for grant‑funded programs.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, record keeping, and document management.
- Effective written and verbal communication with staff, leadership, and external partners.
- Ability to follow established procedures and apply guidelines consistently.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong problem‑solving and issue‑identification skills.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and program information.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and file management systems.
- Ability to learn and use grant management or tracking systems.
- Interpret instructions, policies, and procedures accurately.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships across departments.
- Use basic computer skills.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds for short distances.
- Demonstrate that the above skills can be applied with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Associate’s Degree or two (2) years of post‑secondary education.
- Two (2) years of professional‑level experience in grant writing, proposal development, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, Business, or related field.
- Demonstrated successful work‑related experience in grant proposal development and grant awards.
$51,566 per year
BenefitsSCC Ben Dollars – Eligible for full‑time employees; may elect health insurance option. Additional benefits are available for eligible employees.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., minimum 40‑hour work week. Emergency or special activities may require hours outside the regular schedule.
