Summary
The Supervisor - Operations position will oversee all operations including pipeline operations, mechanical maintenance, and ensuring adherence to all environmental and compliance related requirements within their area while maintaining a successful safety record. This position will adhere to all Partnership policies and procedures and operate within its annual budget set forth by the Partnership. The role is located in Enid, Oklahoma and is a key component to ensuring that area assets are maintained in a safe and efficient manner.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Maintain and operate pipeline systems.
- Collect information to aid in the design of pipeline systems.
- Monitor business activity and request overtime if necessary.
- Provide constructive criticism and coaching opportunities when they arise.
- Identify and correct basic and routine problems in pipeline operations.
- Interact with and help build positive relationships with regulatory auditors.
- Complete and maintain accurate records and reports to comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure safe operation and inspection of assigned company vehicles and equipment.
- Demonstrate support for and adherence to company values, safety, and the Company Code of Conduct as an individual contributor and team member.
- Be prepared to report outside regular work area.
- Apply knowledge of IRTH, G-Form, IMS, and SAP.
- Manage personnel where needed and schedule assignments.
- Manage budget items and stay within budget.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external individuals.
- Work in all types of weather, potentially exposed to extremes of climate and temperature, high noise levels, and rough terrain.
- Become familiar with the contents of the Safety Manual, comply with its requirements, and complete all safety training.
- Schedule aerial inspections bi-annually or as needed and review findings.
- Assist reports and operations as needed.
- Provide weekly reports to managers once per week.
- Plan, organize, coordinate, and supervise daily pipeline activities.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate gas leak surveys.
- Review and monitor flight reports to ensure contractors and technicians follow standards.
- Document findings and foot patrols with the proper G-forms.
- Create bid packets for revetments, piping upgrades, and other projects up for bid.
- Coordinate all pipeline projects.
- Communicate daily with reporting workloads and schedules.
- Monitor and review SAP activities such as valve maintenance, pipeline patrol, etc.
- Ensure technicians are available for integrity and any pipeline excavations, complete G-forms, and maintain data.
- Participate in integrity and operations pre-dig meetings to schedule technicians on site.
- Help build and prepare for any agency audits related to pipeline and facility maintenance (e.g., OCC and PHMSA).
- Communicate with all required support groups, DTO, other operating areas, corrosion, measurement, and maintenance teams.
- High school diploma required.
- Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years industry experience required.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office software products.
- Usually normal office working conditions.
- Must be able to remain stationary for 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Occasional visits to industrial or manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, extreme temperatures, and loud machinery, requiring appropriate personal protective equipment.
