PBX OPERATOR

Switchboard Operator

Responsible for operating the switchboard, I and II way paging, code blue and TDD telephones, taking and relaying messages, monitoring alarms and notifying proper personnel. Registers, takes monies for Hospitality House Guests and processes out-going mail. Provide communication for the hospital.

Qualifications include a high school graduate or GED, one-year experience in communication work, good telephone skills, successful completion of the pre-employment assessment, and basic computer skills.

Job functions include answering the PBX console by the third ring, acting as the information service for hospital guests, paging in a clear voice on I and II-way radios, responding quickly and efficiently to all alarms and notifying proper personnel on all emergencies, dispersing and logging papers to employees for temporary use, and performing all other duties required and assigned.
