Principal/Sr. Principal Systems Engineer – Oklahoma City, OK.
Responsibilities- Coordinate and collaborate with diverse engineering design teams to provide imaginative, technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems in establishing and managing the technical baseline in support of review milestones.
- Execute tasks in system engineering functions.
- Apply systems thinking and full development life‑cycle processes while acknowledging technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Exhibit strong leadership characteristics in coordinating with multiple teams and managing tasks.
- Principal Systems Engineer: BS in a STEM discipline with 5 years of experience, or MS in a STEM discipline with 3 years of experience, or PhD in a STEM discipline with 1 year of experience.
- Sr. Principal Systems Engineer: BS in a STEM discipline with 8 years of experience, or MS in a STEM discipline with 6 years of experience, or PhD in a STEM discipline with 4 years of experience.
- Active DoD Secret clearance or higher (background investigation completed within last 6 years or currently enrolled in Continuous Evaluation).
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
- Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Engineering Physics.
- Master’s Degree.
- Experience working on military aircraft / spacecraft systems.
- Experience in developing, managing, and decomposing requirements.
- Experience in system architecture, CONOPs, or model‑based system engineering.
- Experience in ICD development and integration.
- Demonstrated communication and technical writing skills.
- Proven ability to brief technical presentations to stakeholders.
- MBSE and Agile Systems Engineering experience.
- Experience with DOORS, Confluence, and JIRA.
- Scripting experience.
- Experience as Scrum Master and/or scrum team member.
- Experience in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Primary Level: $93,300.00 - $. Secondary Level: $ - $.
Salary determined based on scope and responsibilities, experience, education, skills and market conditions. Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, annual bonuses, and, for VP or Director positions, long‑term incentives.
