Dietary Technician

Dietary Technician

The Dietary Technician is responsible for assisting with menu selection and calculations, patient tray line, calorie counts, patient interviews for food preferences and intake. The Dietary Technician assists in providing nutrition assessments, implementation and monitoring of nutrition therapy that is provided by the Registered Dieticians.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Certificate (or equivalent)
• Dietetic Technician Diploma Preferred, may be required by state or client contract
• Food Services Management Experience Preferred
• One year experience as a Dietary Technician preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
