Position SummaryResponsible for planning and preparing for the surgical procedure and assisting the surgeon. Responsible for sterilization of surgical equipment and to assemble scheduled and emergency case carts.
Job Duties /Responsibilities- Demonstrates correct Materials Management (instruments, sponges, needles, etc.)
- Displays various transfer techniques with sharps, as needed.
- Counting of surgical objects as required per policy.
- Accountability and care of surgical specimens.
- Consistently practices procedures to protect self and others and adheres to OSHA exposure plan guidelines.

- High school graduate or GED required.
- Graduate of an approved Surgical Technical Program or on the job scrub tech training required.
- Six (6) months experience preferred
- BLS certification required.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic computer skills required.
