** Groendyke Transport is hiring a Payroll Specialist in Enid, Oklahoma
** to process payroll for employees across the organization. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-focused, steady under deadlines, and comfortable handling high-volume payroll questions. You’ll partner closely with Payroll, Benefits, Accounting, and operations leaders to ensure pay is accurate, timely, and handled consistently.## ##
** Key Responsibilities
*** Process payroll for multiple employee populations, including time record validation, pre-processing review, and gross-to-net calculations
* Research and resolve time record issues with supervisors and ensure timely corrections
* Process on-demand payments, bonus pay, and final payments according to guidelines and required timelines
* Maintain payroll deductions, including 401(k) updates and other payroll-related deductions as applicable
* Administer wage garnishments (e.g., child support, tax levies), coordinate agency communication, and remit payments as required
* Provide payroll support to employees and leaders, including high-volume inquiries, W-2 reprint requests, and employment verifications per policy
* Complete post-payroll documentation and reconciliations; support balancing of garnishments and payroll advances
* Support quarterly and year-end reporting needs and audit requests
* Maintain accurate payroll records in Workday and related payroll/timekeeping systems
* Coordinate with Benefits on payroll impacts (deductions, insurance payments, arrearage adjustments)## ##
** Qualifications
* ** High school diploma or equivalent required
* 2+ years of payroll processing experience required (high-volume preferred)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet reconciliation required
* Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and customer service communication skills##
** Preferred
* ** Payroll experience in transportation, trucking, or logistics environments
* Workday experience (Payroll/Time Tracking/HCM)
* Experience with wage garnishments and agency remittances
* Experience working with third-party payroll providers (e.g., ADP, Paychex)## ##
