Manufacturing ​/ Production Operator, Manufacturing Production

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for an Operator. This position will be responsible for the tube mill operations and equipment of the mill to ensure continuous operation during the shift.

• Safety, quality, and priorities above all.
• Keep the mill operational.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, 5S.
• Cross‑train team members on parts programming and mill set‑ups.
• TPM of process and equipment in the area.
• Coordinate daily and weekly activities with department supervisor.
• Perform visual and manual quality checks of finished products. Minimize scrap.
• Work with maintenance hands‑on to resolve issues in a timely manner.

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Experience using special measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, and tape measures.
• Ability to read set‑up charts supplied by OEM and interpret them to roll tooling adjustments.
• Ability to change out cut‑off jaws, blades, and refill oil levels of equipment.
• Demonstrate ability to meet negotiated time frames of scheduling.
• Ability to document downtime through seamless reporting system to drive KPI tracking.
• Good communication skills with coworkers to ensure continuous flow of the mill.
• Ability to think and react to schedule changes and conditions on the mill.
• Ability to be a contributing and valued team member for continuous improvement activities.
