Job Summary

The Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Supervisor plays a pivotal role in upholding quality standards for our food products. This role involves variable work activities that demand sound judgment, prioritization, result evaluation, and effective coordination with colleagues. The position is responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards on a specific shift.

• Lead FSQA technicians on their assigned shift.
• Verify accuracy and completeness of all records.
• Conduct audits and assist the FSQA manager in ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Prepare the facility for GFSI and customer‑specific audits.
• Investigate and address customer complaints, foreign material incidents, and environmental issues.
• Verify production paperwork and conduct production floor checks.
• Execute GMP and housekeeping audits to maintain cleanliness and GMP adherence.
• Oversee the annual reassessment of HACCP.
• Facilitate food safety training for team members.
• Provide flexibility in work hours, covering other shifts as needed.
• Work occasional weekend shifts as assigned by the Manager.
• Communicate with onsite regulators (e.g., USDA).

• High School diploma or GED;
  Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in a food manufacturing environment with FSQA experience.
• Preferred supervisory experience in a food manufacturing setting; experience in protein and ready‑to‑eat production environments preferred.
• HACCP/HARPC certifications preferred; broad knowledge of HACCP, USDA, GMP, FDA, and SSOPs.
• Basic computer skills for creating simple queries and spreadsheets; SAP knowledge preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across multiple disciplines.
• High‑level critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
• Must be willing and able to lift up to 75 lbs, stand on hard surfaces up to 12 hours per day, and work in temperatures ranging from 30–90°F.
• Must be able to work in a wet environment, perform repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing, and pulling, and reach high and low levels frequently.
• Ability to climb step ladders or stairs; must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Position requires Lock Out Tag Out certification.
• Must reside in the United States; sponsorship is not available.
