Position: Nurse Practitioner for Local Clinic

Overview

This program is designed to return practice ownership to the hands of the practitioners by covering costs to set up the clinic, providing a fully equipped and operational space, and offering ongoing support and management until ownership is transferred. The goal is to empower practitioners to take control of their future while focusing on high-quality patient care.

Practitioner

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Assess patient health by interviewing patients and performing physical examinations, including obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories
  • Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records
  • Provide quality outpatient services by appointment
  • Provide ongoing health maintenance, health education, and disease prevention periodic screening for adults
  • Provide well-woman gynecological exams including appropriate screening, history, examinations, and education
  • Provide patient education regarding disease processes and good health habits
  • Maintain current knowledge of immunization schedules, routine adult health maintenance recommendations, and general clinic protocols
  • Order and evaluate appropriate laboratory and x‑ray studies
  • Complete Continuing Medical Education and maintain licensure in good standing
  • Maintain current prescriptive authority license, OBNDD, and DEA number
  • Maintain a current knowledge of the Nurse Practitioner formulary and prescribe medications within the limits of the formulary
  • Assist in community health screening and disease prevention activities
  • Inform Medical Director of difficult cases, poor outcomes, or involvement of other agencies in patient case
  • Interact effectively with patients, families, clinic team members, and anyone necessary to satisfy patient care
Qualifications
  • Current valid license as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Associate (PA) in Oklahoma
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Excellent clinical and diagnostic skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Dedication to providing high-quality patient care
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
