Position Summary

Primary City/State:
Brush, Colorado. East Morgan County Hospital is a 25‑bed licensed critical access facility and Level

IV trauma center that offers a full array of health‑care services and two clinic locations. This full‑time, day shift position (32hrs/wk) is for a Registered Nurse in the Surgical Services department.

Responsibilities

Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs; review history, diagnostics, and laboratory data; report abnormal results to physicians.

Formulate a care plan, including the discharge plan, based on assessment data and input from patients, families, and the health‑team.

Implement the care plan through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of team activities.

Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, and revise the plan as needed.

Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record, ensuring accuracy, legibility, and timeliness.

Provide evidence‑based care and participate in research, shared leadership, and educational activities for staff and patients.

Contribute to nursing quality indicators and outcomes through participation in professional organizations.

In some roles, supervise staff and manage department workflow.

Interact with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families, and external contacts to facilitate patient care, including spiritual support when appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications

Current, valid RN license in the state of practice.
BLS certification required.
Experience working in an acute‑care setting within the past 12months.
Ability to maintain clinical performance competencies and complete annual validations.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Professional certification preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.

Salary

Estimated pay range: $36.67 – $61.11 per hour.
