Assist in care of hospital patients under the direction of nursing and the medical staff. Position is responsible for adhering to all standards of nursing care, and for promoting teamwork among co-workers.

As a nurse aide, you will play a key role in patient care. You will ensure smooth operations, collaborate with nursing staff, work as a team to evaluate patients and implement patient care within the scope of nurse aide practice. Requirements: high school graduate or equivalent preferred, current Oklahoma certified nurse aide license, BLS required prior to beginning orientation or working on a floor, experience preferred, basic computer skills required, de-escalation (TEAM) training completed within 6 months of hire.

Assist with activities of daily living i.e., bathing, skin care, dressing, feeding, ambulating, transporting, and bed changing. Take and record vital signs and I&O's, apply ice bags, aqua K pads, and specialty appliances. Complete or review worksheet of assignments for patient care within 30 minutes of shift change. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and related criteria appropriate to the age of patients served in his/her assigned service area.

Obtains and documents vital signs as instructed per policy and nurse.
