Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Check identification of all authorized personnel entering the Downstream Casino Resort Construction site.
- Ensure the safety of customers and employees while on premises.
- Apply common sense and professional judgment to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions.
- Generate daily and weekly reports as assigned by the supervisor.
- Assist patrons and employees and respond to critical situations (medical emergencies, irate patrons, etc.).
- Continuously observe and patrol the casino premises, corridors, bar area, office area and parking lot as directed.
- Complete CPR/First Aid Training Course and any other required training.
- Report violations, acts, or situations detrimental to the best interest of the resort to the Security Supervisor.
- Assist in internal or external investigations conducted by the resort or authorized authorities.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding internal functions of the Security Department and other confidential information.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicate in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner.
- Adhere to attendance guidelines and regulatory, departmental and company policies.
- Attend all necessary training meetings.
- Assist in other projects as directed.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned.
- Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
- Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule.
- Minimum age: 18 years or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants with gaming, military, law enforcement, police, or security background will be favorably considered.
- Good observation skills.
- Prior customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to work in an intensive construction environment.
- Valid driving record acceptable to liability insurance carrier.
- Write routine correspondence and speak effectively to public, employees, and customers.
- Interact well with customers and employees and resolve problems/conflicts diplomatically.
- Present a well-groomed and professional appearance.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Read, write, speak, and understand English; respond to visual and oral cues.
- Be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
- Employment contingent upon favorable background investigation and drug screening.
- Work with extreme weather conditions.
- Lift up to 80 lbs., squat, stand or bend repeatedly.
- Tolerate secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
- Stand, walk, and move through all casino areas.
- Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude in a fast-paced casino environment; deal with customers, management, employees, and community members under pressure.
- The Downstream Casino Resort adheres to all applicable resolutions of the Quapaw Nation. Native American Preference policy applies.
