Job Summary: Marsau Enterprises is seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of heavy machinery—including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and cranes—to ensure maximum uptime. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a dedication to safety, and the ability to work independently in both shop and field environments.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose & Repair: Perform complex troubleshooting and repairs on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and powertrain components.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as engine oil changes, lubrication, and filter replacements.
- Field Service: Travel to job sites to diagnose and fix equipment, minimizing downtime.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company safety policies.
- Documentation: Accurately document all repair work, parts used, and time spent using company tablets or computer systems.
- Component Replacement: Replace damaged or worn parts using specialized tools, precision instruments, and heavy equipment.
- Experience: 3–5 years of proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Diesel Technician.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical school training is preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Tools: Must possess own tools & vehicle to work from.
- Physical Strength: Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs), work in varying weather conditions, and stand for long periods.
- Licensure: Valid driver’s license required.
- Certifications: ASE Heavy Truck Technician or similar certification is a plus.
