Dredge Operator
About the RoleRuns dozers, loaders, excavators, haul trucks or other types of large equipment used for paving or moving, grading and compacting earth, sand, gravel, stone and/or asphalt materials. Conducts routine daily inspections of equipment and maintains equipment in a clean and safe manner.
What You’ll Accomplish- Loads trucks, feeds bins with various aggregate materials, maintains proper quantities of material to be loaded, moves earth or material from one location to another, and performs paving/grading work.
- Keeps equipment clean and orderly.
- Performs daily inspections on equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Ensures that safety, compliance and environmental requirements are followed at all times.
- Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promotes a culture of safety.
- Required
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent - Required
Work Experience:
Minimum of one year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience - Ability to read and write
- Excellent driving skills
- Valid Driver’s License
- Adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including respirators. Employees required to wear respirators must be clean shaven at the seal location to pass fit tests.
