Airframe and Powerplant Specialist Security Clearance

Execute maintenance on various military aircraft as a Contract Field Team technician.

• Travel for extended periods working at various locations.
• Train on routing aircraft electrical wire harnesses, basic wire terminations, and other maintenance tasks.
• Interpret technical manuals, work cards, blueprints, wire diagrams/schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Maintain shop supplies and perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Operate complicated shop tools and equipment as trained and assigned.
• Perform inventory control using logging, tagging, and organizing procedures.
• Maintain tool control and accountability.
• Adhere to company policies and safety programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma required.
• Associate's Degree in management or technical/scientific discipline preferred.
• Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License required.

• 3+ years of professional experience in the required task area.
• Broad working knowledge of FAA regulations, aircraft maintenance and inspection requirements.
• Knowledgeable in documenting maintenance actions in any of the following aircraft records systems: USAF, USN and US Army digital maintenance data systems.
• Familiar with the installation of aerospace fasteners, rivets, nut plates, etc.

• Must be a US citizen.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required.
• Successful candidates must obtain minimum favorable Tier 1 personnel security investigation IAW DoD Instruction 5200.46, DoD Investigative and Adjudicative Guidance for Issuing Common Access Card (CAC).
