Job DescriptionQUALIFICATIONS
- Skill in working with students with special needs.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations and school system policies and procedures.
- Ability to gain respect and cooperation of students, parents, administrative officials and others; to maintain discipline; to attend training in the proceducres of working with students with special needs.
REPORTS TO: Director of Transportation and Bus Driver
SUPERVISES: Helps supervise students on the bus
JOB OVERVIEW: Under close supervision, monitor the conduct of students between pick-up points and school, maintain order, and adhere to safety rules and aide with transportation of students with special needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Monitors the conduct of students between pick-up points and school.
- Aids the students with special needs upon entering and exiting the school bus.
- Reports all discipline problems to the school bus driver.
- Enforces regulations against smoking and eating on the bus.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 174 days on contract
WORK ENVIRONMENT: School Bus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
EVALUATION: In accordance with Board Policy and appropriate procedural regualtions. The Superintendent or designee will be responsible for completing the evaluation.
SALARY RANGE: Is based on the EPS Support Negotiated Contract Scale.
BENEFITS: In accordance with EPS Support Negotiated Contract.
