SummaryThis position is responsible for ensuring all products and materials are loaded, unloaded, and processed through the warehouse in a timely and accurate manner using a motor‑powered forklift. Team members will be fully re‑trained and certified on forklift during orientation.
Physical and Health RequirementsNeed full range of motion of arms, wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck, all digits, and legs. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time with a sense of balance. May work with corrective lenses if vision problems. May be provided PPE for additional hearing protection as needed. Cold Storage Experience Preferred. Must pass post offer health assessment and drug screening.
ResponsibilitiesDuring your work shift, which will consist of 12 hours, you must be willing to move around the work area at a fast pace and be willing to bend, squat, lift, push, pull up to 40 pounds.
- Follow all Tyson Policies and Safety Guidelines.
- Use a handheld scanner to track products as they are moved around the facility.
- Perform other routine job duties as necessary.
- Receiver – Receives product accurately into the building using PIT.
- Put Away – Pulls product that has been received and puts it into the racking. May be required to palletize or split pallets.
- Replenisher – Pulls pallets from racking to replenish pick faces.
- Picker – (Case picker/Order Selector and full pallet picker) pulls product either in single or full palletized form to fill and build customer orders.
- Loader – Loads trucks with product in an efficient manner that will avoid product damage or loss.
Most of the time will be driving PIT including stand‑up forklifts and reach trucks for extended times in damp and cold environments with temperatures ranging from
-5 to 30 degrees Fahrenheit (up to 12 hours). You will be provided a freezer suit, hearing protection, gloves, and headwear as part of your personal protective equipment (PPE). Team members must wear steel or composite toe boots that conform to ANSI 75 lbs or more PSI rating with a slip resistant sole that covers the ankles. (Composite toe preferred). Standing or walking up to 100% of the time.
Proficiency in reading and writing. Ability to complete on‑the‑job paperwork and effectively communicate across all management levels.
