Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Industrial Maintenance, Operations Manager, Manufacturing Production
Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Plant Leadman based out of our Ennis, Texas plant location to help lead the hourly workforce in the Texas Region. This role is responsible for working closely with the plant manager to coordinate the work of the hourly employees on a mine site. You will ensure work is performed according to company policies, safety rules and procedures to efficiently produce natural aggregates regulated by MSHA.
You will train, instruct and direct the work activity of employees while complying with industry standards.
- Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
- Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.
- Perform daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections to maintain equipment performance
- Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
- Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned
- Apply knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of complex tasks
- Operate specialized equipment that requires advanced skills
- Train, instruct and direct work activities of employees
- Monitor and adapt processes and scheduling to accomplish production goals
- Function as a team leader by directing the work of others
- Cover and fill-in vacant positions as needed to meet production
- Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
- Positive, Team-based attitude
- The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
- The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a mining environment
- Capable of using Microsoft Office
- Ability to demonstrate independent judgment, resourcefulness, and effective leadership
- Ability to solve and identify complex problems using advanced technical knowledge and creativity within a mine environment
- Ability to walk up and down elevated controls; stand and bend for extended periods of time; climb stairs, elevated catwalks and ability to lift 60lbs
While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
