Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Full‑Time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Float Pool Team on night shift at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Waxahachie. This role is ideal for adaptable, experienced nurses who thrive in fast‑paced environments and enjoy caring for a diverse patient population.

Full Time – 36 hours per week
Nights: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
No call required

As a Float Pool RN, you will provide high‑quality patient care across multiple inpatient units within your clinical skill set. You’ll support areas throughout the hospital, gaining broad clinical exposure while helping meet critical staffing needs.

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence‑based nursing care
• Adapt quickly to various units based on staffing and patient needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with hospital policies

• Active Texas RN license
• Minimum 1 Year Of RN Experience
• Telemetry experience

• Critical Care experience
• Specialty or Board Certification
• Strong adaptability and clinical confidence

As an RN Float, you are vital in healthcare, coordinating patient care based on our nursing model. You assess patients, plan personalized care, and evaluate responses to health issues. You keep patients safe by understanding their needs and the healthcare setting for smoother transitions. You delegate interventions to team members based on guidelines, patient condition, and team abilities. Your professionalism and experience help you make important recommendations that impact patient outcomes.

• Create a safe place for patients, families, and staff. Help with emotional and physical pain to aid healing.

• Thorough knowledge of nursing and patient care standards and procedures.
• Knowledge of relevant laws, rules, and regulations, including nursing care certifications and accreditations.
• Familiarity with health promotion, risk reduction, illness and disease prevention, and management.
• Effective communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good grasp of general computer skills.

• Graduated from an accredited nursing program or have two years of relevant work experience.
• Registered nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within 30 days of starting.
