Technician - Analytical Lab; Food Safety and Quality Assurance

This position is NIGHT SHIFT hours from 6pm-6am on a 2/2/3 rotating schedule. The base rate for this position is $33.09 plus a $3.00 shift differential.

The Analytical Lab Technician is responsible for conducting laboratory tests and experiments to support research projects. You will analyze results and report findings to researchers and management, maintain laboratory equipment and supplies—including ordering and tracking inventory—and analyze samples of materials, such as chemicals and foods, to determine their properties and composition.

• Receiving, labeling and safely storing samples to be tested
• Determining and performing tests needed for the analysis and report
• Recording tests and analyses and then reporting the results
• Organizing and storing samples in accordance with all safety and other requirements to ensure the safety of personnel and integrity of the sample
• Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment, including recalibration of equipment
• Maintaining equipment records and daily work logs

• Certification as a laboratory technician or related field
• Experience with laboratory software, such as LIMS or ELN
• Preferred:
  Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline, such as chemistry or biology
