Host, Hospitality ​/ Hotel ​/ Catering, Hospitality & Tourism

We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and proactive Welcome Host to support the smooth running of our busy community building. This is a varied role combining front-of-house duties, hospitality support, room setup for meetings and events, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the building. As one of the first points of contact for visitors, you will provide a warm welcome and ensure all users of Fermanagh House receive excellent service.

You will also play a key role in keeping the building safe, clean, and well-presented.

Key responsibilities include:

- Greeting and assisting visitors - Setting up rooms for meetings and conferences - Providing hospitality for groups - Cleaning and maintaining the building and surrounding areas - Reporting maintenance issues - Securing the building when required. We are looking for someone who is approachable, hardworking, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team. Flexibility and a commitment to high standards are essential.

• Welcome, greet, and assist all users of Fermanagh House in a friendly and professional manner.
• Provide hospitality services for groups and meetings as required.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding clients, staff, and organisational matters.
• Arrange rooms for meetings, conferences, and events, including setting out chairs, tables, and equipment.
• Ensure rooms are clean, tidy, and reset promptly after use.
• Assist with hospitality arrangements as instructed.

• Friendly, welcoming manner with strong customer service skills.
• Experience in cleaning, caretaking, or facilities support.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• High standard of personal organisation and reliability.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Willingness to follow cleaning procedures and health & safety guidelines.
• Ability to carry out manual handling tasks (e.g., moving chairs/tables).
• Previous experience in a front-of-house or hospitality role.
• Experience setting up rooms for meetings or events.
• Experience working in a community building or similar environment.
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment and materials.
• Awareness of safeguarding and confidentiality principles.
• Basic maintenance or DIY skills.

Wage: £12.60 per hour increasing to £13.45 from 01 April 2026
