Role Overview
The Demand Planner / Customer Services Support role combines demand planning (approximately 60‑70%) with customer services (30‑40%). The role requires teamwork with internal stakeholders such as the Supply Chain Team, Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, Forecasting, Management, and R&D as well as external Distribution Business Partners. It facilitates forecasting and demand‑planning meetings to align future volume and customer specifications with order demand.
ResponsibilitiesDemand Planning
- Develop unconstrained customer demand plans, including planning for product portfolio phase‑in and phase‑out.
- Support product rationalization evaluations.
- Analyze current sales, promotional activities, trend developments, innovations and product introductions.
- Develop supply‑chain and operations scenarios.
- Perform ABC analysis of turnover rate and contribution margin to determine SKU‑level inventory strategy.
- Communicate forecast to production planners and ensure the Supply Chain team receives correct information.
- Facilitate Demand Review bi‑weekly meetings, monthly Sales, Zandbergen and Hughes forecast meetings, and support S&OP, S&OE and Supply Review weekly & monthly meetings.
- Collaborate with Customer Services Specialists to support international order processing.
- Validate pricing, including discounts with the Sales team.
- Organize international shipments with customers and the internal Supply Chain team.
- Provide exceptional customer service covering orders, product details, shipments, billing, returns and credits.
- Minimum 4years of experience in a demand‑planning role; experience in customer services is a plus.
- Experience in a top‑tier consumer products or food & beverage company.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to plan and organize, including facilitating forecasting and demand‑planning meetings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or equivalent industry related experience.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint;
Netsuite experience is an advantage. - Ability to multitask and collaborate across business channels.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills at all organizational levels and with external partners.
- Proficient in written English; fluency in Dutch highly preferred; additional language skills (German, French) a plus.
Based in Enschede as part of the Supply Chain Team.
