For LioniX International in Enschede, Commercieel Nederland is looking for an Account manager High-Tech who feels at home at the intersection of technology and commerce. This is not about quick deals or cold acquisition, but about building long-term customer relationships within an innovative and international high-tech environment.
The OrganisationLioniX International is a leading player in the world of photonics and microsystem technology. Based in Enschede, a team of approximately 70 specialists works on tailor‑made solutions in the field of photonic integrated circuits (PICs).
Unlike many other companies, LioniX does not provide standard products, but fully integrated solutions: from design through to assembled modules. Its customers operate in sectors such as telecom, defence, aerospace and high‑tech OEM.

As Account Manager High-Tech, you are responsible for the full commercial process. You guide customers from the first point of contact through to the successful realisation of projects.
Your role is clearly relationship‑driven and content‑focused. You work with warm and lukewarm leads and translate complex technical challenges into concrete solutions.
Your responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining long‑term customer relationships
- Managing the full sales process, from lead to deal
- Preparing and following up on quotations
- Aligning with engineers and business development on technical feasibility
- Commercial monitoring of ongoing projects, including budget, progress and additional work
- Representing the organisation at international trade fairs, approximately four times per year
You work closely with the Business Developer and lead engineers. Collaboration is central within the team. There are no individual targets, but a shared responsibility.
Who Are You?You are a technically skilled account manager who understands how complex solutions are sold.
You recognise yourself in the following profile:
- Higher professional or university‑level working and thinking ability, preferably in a technical field such as Physics or Electrical Engineering
- At least 3 years of commercial experience in a technical B2B environment
- Able to quickly understand technical subject matter and translate it into customer value
- Strong in relationship management and communication
- Structured and able to manage long sales cycles
- Proactive, representative and a true team player
- Fluent English is a must. Dutch is a strong advantage.
- Living within commuting distance of Enschede
- Experience in high‑tech, semiconductor, telecom, defence or aerospace
- Experience with complex and long‑term sales cycles
- Annual salary between €65k and €75k, depending on experience
- Collective team bonus of up to approximately 20%
- Employment contract for 32–40 hours per week
- One‑year contract with the prospect of a permanent position
