The welding instructor prepares course syllabi and instructional materials, delivers instruction in both a classroom and laboratory setting, and evaluates student progress. This is a part‑time position that may include teaching day and/or night classes. Travel may be required to instructional sites.
ResponsibilitiesThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk, sit, smell, talk, and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand for long periods of time; use hands to finger, handle, or feel;
crouch, stoop, kneel, and bend; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must have mobility to move on‑ and off‑campus. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Salary Schedule L: $600 per Theory Hour / $790 per Lab Hour.
