Responsibilities
- Open and process all types of deposit and loan accounts, including consumer loans, VISA merchant accounts, and small business loans.
- Listen to clients’ financial needs, cross‑sell bank services, and refer customers to other departments as appropriate.
- Maintain direct contact with external and internal clients and provide proactive solutions and problem resolutions in alignment with the bank’s Breakthrough Client Service Standards.
- Perform technical tasks such as branch opening and closing, overdraft monitoring, wire transfers and collections, stop payments, and monitoring branch controls.
- Facilitate review and assessment of operational/audit requirements of the branch and provide input for remediation or adjustments to improve operational quality.
- Serve as backup to the personal banking team, opening new accounts, receiving loan requests, and gathering credit‑related information.
- Maintain responsibility for the cash drawer and follow proper balancing procedures.
- Monitor sales and service goals and provide guidance and training to the branch team.
- Supervise other associates on day‑to‑day activities and act in a Branch Manager capacity when required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2 years of retail banking experience required; 1 year of sales experience preferred.
- In‑depth knowledge of consumer and business products and services.
- Demonstrated proficiency in consumer and business lending.
- Ability to accurately handle cash, balance accounts and drawers, and perform accurate calculations.
- Proficiency in expanding client relationships with emphasis on creating new relationships and expanding existing ones.
- Licensed as a Bank Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) and registered in compliance with the SAFE Act; authorized to perform open‑end mortgage transactions only (home equity lines of credit).
Pay range: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour. The selected candidate’s pay rate depends on non‑discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and location. The role may be eligible for a performance‑based incentive compensation plan.
