Monthly salary range: $5,378.42 - $6,543.00
The incumbent will under the direction of the Court Administrator, plan, organize and manage the day-to-day operations of the Municipal Court. Responsible for personnel recommendations, record-keeping, case flow, juries, cashiering, space security, equipment, public information, and compliance with mandated regulations.
Education/Experience- Any combination equivalent to: two years of college course work with a major in business or related field and three years increasingly responsible court office experience.
- Nationally developed trial court performance standards.
- State and Federal laws and City ordinances.
- Functions and procedures of courts of limited jurisdictions.
- Court related procedures for the Department of Licensing (Driver and Vehicle Division).
- Records management and modern office methods and practices.
- Date processing technology and application to departmental functions.
- Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.
- Principles and practices of administration, supervision and training.
- Legal terms, forms, and other documents.
Monthly salary range: $5,862.08 - $7,130.50
The incumbent will under the direction of the Presiding Judge and Court Administrator, coordinate and process criminal, civil and other related administrative court papers, documents, records, requests, inquiries and notifications; serve as liaison with the public, attorneys, law enforcement officers and government agencies associated with the Court; provide customer service and resolve conflicts between the public and the Municipal Court system;
oversee and account for the cash account and perform daily reconciliations; maintain confidentiality regarding privacy act protected information processed through the Court.
- Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by college-level course work in paralegal studies and three years of increasingly responsible courtroom experience.
- Courtroom rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Criminal, civil and other related administrative court papers, documents, records, requests, inquiries and notifications.
- Preparation and maintenance of court calendars and case files.
- Proper courtroom behavior.
- Operation of a computer and assigned software.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.
- Modern office practices, procedures and equipment.
- Record-keeping and report writing techniques.
- Mathematical calculations.
This is a full-time position 40 hours – Union, Non-Exempt
