Position Summary: This position is a good opportunity for anyone who enjoys teaching middle school level Language Arts/Social Studies
. The individual will promote the kind of instruction and learning environment that will enable each student to master the skills appropriate to age, grade level and individual capacity.
Minimum Requirements:

• Valid Alaska teaching certificate with an endorsement with appropriate endorsement
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in education.

Preferred Requirements:

• Master's degree in education preferred.
• Experience teaching at the middle school level.
• Experience or ability to work with instructional technology is highly desirable.
• Experience working with team teaching, integrated content and project-based assessment.
• Previous experience working on a team in a professional learning community.

Compensation
:
Salary is dependent on experience and education. The Juneau School District offers a competitive salary.
