Description:

Client auto deducts the Washington state tax. A radiation badge must be provided, but assistance is available if needed. The department operates 1 CT scanner, 1 X-ray machine, and 1 portable X-ray. They will primarily work in CT and general X-ray. Common imaging studies performed include CT with and without contrast for head, spine, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities. General X-ray duties include chest imaging, PICC line placements, tube placements, and trauma assessments.

Average scans per night range from 2-6 CT scans and 1-4 X-rays, depending on the night shift. The electronic medical records system used is EPIC, along with McKesson PACS. Department equipment includes a Toshiba 64-slice CT scanner and a Carestream X-ray room. A supervisor and lead technician are present for support. Radiologists are in-house on select days for limited hours and otherwise rely on teleradiology services.

A registered radiology assistant is not utilized in this department. No call or standby requirement is in place. Scrubs of the employee's choice may be worn in the department. Department-specific orientation includes training focused on EPIC. The hospital has a cancellation policy that permits up to 4 shift cancellations per 13-week assignment. A trauma level and acute care settings apply to this position.
