Maintenance Lead Crystal Mountain Hotel

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Overseeing the condition and appearance of guest rooms, cabin facilities, restaurants, bars, and other public areas.
• Performing routine maintenance tasks such as painting, carpet/floor cleaning, plumbing, caulking, and HVAC adjustments.
• Scheduling and managing preventative maintenance in all guest rooms and public areas.
• Reporting major repair needs and collaborating with an asset manager to develop repair strategies.
• Establishing safety protocols and emergency weather response plans, and ensuring the team is informed of active safety concerns and red‑tagged equipment.
• Assisting guests and answering their questions; maintaining knowledge of property amenities, local recommendations, and nearby attractions.
• Executing additional duties or special projects as assigned.

• Expert knowledge of hotel maintenance and practical problem‑solving for everyday property needs.
• A safety‑first mindset with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service skills and a professional, friendly, low‑drama attitude.
• Strong verbal communication, teamwork, and the ability to learn quickly.
• Willingness to train and support fellow crew members.
• Capacity to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and stay organized when busy.

• 4+ years of relevant hotel maintenance or facilities experience preferred.
• Effective English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Pool/hot tub certification preferred.
• Experience with snow grooming equipment preferred.
• Valid state driver’s license required or obtainable.
• All crew members are subject to a background check.
• Physical demands: frequent bending, reaching overhead, squatting, and manual dexterity; lifting up to 50 lbs. without assistance; pushing/pulling up to 75 lbs. without assistance; extended periods standing.
• Work environment noise can be moderate to occasionally loud.
