Role Description The Probate Paralegal is a full-time, on-site role based in Enumclaw, WA. This position supports attorneys in all aspects of probate and estate administration, including drafting and filing court documents, preparing pleadings and correspondence, and organizing matter-specific files. Daily responsibilities include managing case calendars and deadlines, communicating with clients, courts, and third parties, and gathering and organizing financial and asset information for estates.

The Probate Paralegal will assist with preparing inventories, accountings, and other required probate reports, monitoring case progress, and ensuring compliance with relevant procedures and timelines. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, updating case management systems, and contributing to a respectful, collaborative office environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in probate, estate administration, or related areas of law, including familiarity with wills, trusts, and elder law matters.
  • Strong legal drafting and document preparation skills, including ability to compose pleadings, affidavits, correspondence, and court forms with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in legal research and the use of case management and document management software, as well as standard office applications.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and priorities in a structured manner.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills for interaction with clients, attorneys, courts, and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive client information with discretion, professionalism, and respect.
  • Experience working in a law firm or legal office setting; prior probate or estate planning paralegal experience is highly beneficial.
  • Paralegal certificate, associate or bachelor’s degree, or comparable combination of education and relevant legal experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on-site in Enumclaw, WA, and maintain reliability and punctuality in a full-time schedule.
