Position Summary

The Food & Beverage Purchasing and Receiving Manager oversees procurement, inventory, and distribution of products to support resort operations. Responsibilities include vendor management, inventory control, quality assurance, budgeting, staff leadership, and reporting.

Essential Duties
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and manage par‑level purchasing.
  • Coordinate par ordering and weekly review with F&B leadership.
  • Implement and maintain inventory management systems; forecast demand and adjust purchasing strategies.
  • Oversee receiving, inspection, and distribution of all incoming goods, ensuring compliance with food safety program.
  • Maintain quality control measures, resolve non‑compliance issues, and manage documentation such as expiration lists.
  • Supervise transfers, waste sheets, requisitions, and invoice entry for par levels.
  • Update inventory templates, conduct physical inventory, and train staff on best practices.
  • Generate regular reports on purchasing activities, inventory levels, and cost analyses.
  • Monitor expenses, analyze variances, and propose cost‑saving strategies.
  • Hold daily stand‑up meetings with purchasing and receiving team.
  • Attend weekly F&B leadership meetings to present updates.
  • Manage staff labor schedules, timekeeping, and training requirements.
  • Present employee opportunities and successes to leadership for HR support.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in F&B procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software, e.g., Food Trak.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and quality control standards.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Analytical mindset and proactive approach to process improvement.
  • Effective written and verbal communication across all levels.
  • Ability to make independent judgments with considerable impact.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office;
    Microsoft D365 experience preferred.
Education & Experience
  • High School diploma or GED with at least 1 year of F&B experience.
  • Combination of education and experience may satisfy requirements.
Additional Knowledge/Ability Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in hospitality, travel, or experiential brand strongly preferred.
  • Strong food safety knowledge and ability to promote compliance with Washington State law.
  • Valid driver’s license and Washington State Food Handlers card required.
  • Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs. and maneuver up to 160 lbs.
  • Must have a means of communication to Manager while on duty.
  • Intermediate or better ski/snowboard skills.
