Job SummaryThe Lead Line Cook, or Cook 3, is responsible for co‑managing a specific outlet within Crystal Mountain Resort Culinary Operations, delivering an exceptional guest experience. The role includes training, coaching, and leading culinary staff while maintaining strict adherence to culinary guidelines, food safety, and standard operating procedures. The cook ensures overall cleanliness, sanitation, and high‑quality service delivery, and represents the resort publicly in a positive manner.
EssentialJob Functions
- Assist the Executive Sous Chef in meeting operational goals, including thorough training and direction of staff.
- Act as manager of back‑of‑house operations in the Executive Sous Chef’s absence.
- Demonstrate in‑depth knife work, prep work, and the ability to work all stations.
- Train Cook I & II staff.
- Produce high‑quality, healthy, safe food and beverage products.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and restaurant following proper HACCP procedures.
- Assist with recipe adherence and proper production procedures.
- Promote a positive professional culinary culture throughout F&B outlets and the resort.
- Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all established safety practices.
- Assist the Chef with daily cleaning of all kitchen areas.
- Obtain a WA Food Safety Card within 3 days of hiring.
- Stand for long periods (8 hours at a time).
- Some culinary outlets require intermediate skiing or snowboarding ability.
- Work nights, weekends, and holidays at different venues and/or locations.
- Have 3-5 years of kitchen operations experience.
- Work evenings, weekends, and holidays at different venues and/or locations.
- Lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Work extended periods of time bending, reaching, and speaking on a continuous basis.
- Work extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, pushing, and pulling occasionally.
- Continuous talking and hearing for communication with guests, supervisors, and other employees.
