Compensation Pay Range

$17.13 - $23.50

The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance premiums that may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Assist the store manager in sales, appearance, and overall operations of the store. The objective is to provide hands‑on training for a future management position in another store or location.

Essential Job Functions
  • Supervise the professional and retail operations of store and team members.
  • Oversee professional delivery and installer service specialists and retail parts and merchandising specialists.
  • Supervise work performed by all team members assigned to the store or HUB store.
  • Work with district manager and store manager in recruiting, evaluating, promoting, disciplining, and discharging team members.
  • Communicate information from weekly and monthly store manager meetings to all team members.
  • Train new team members and handle performance evaluations, recommending pay increases.
  • Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management.
  • Support store manager with safety compliance and training, monitoring safety expectations.
  • Make sales calls with or without the store manager, and conduct scheduled weekly customer calls.
  • Assist the store manager in store operations as assigned.
  • Maintain the delivery fleet, record keeping for each vehicle, and ensure the store or HUB store is neat, clean, and organized.
  • Use electronic scheduling, clocking, and payroll systems.
  • Learn to manage gross profit components, monitor professional customer returns, review price matches and overrides, review KPI dashboards, and discuss monthly P&L with the store manager.
Skills / Education / Knowledge / Experience / Abilities

Required

  • High School Diploma.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Completion of Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program.
  • Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately.
  • Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment, and systems.

Desired

  • O’Reilly store and/or distribution center experience.
  • Completion of O’Reilly management training program.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • ASE certification.
  • Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
