Resident Assistant – Personal Care / Assisted Living

Level 1 | Evening Shift | 18 Hours per Week
Schedule:
Week 1: Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Week 2: Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday
Hours: 4:30 PM – 9:00 PM

Pay Range: $21.15 – $22.85 per hour
Shift Differentials: +$1.00/hour Evening Shift Differential and +$1.25/hour Weekend Differential

As a Resident Assistant in Personal Care
, you'll play a meaningful role in supporting residents as they transition from independent living to assisted living. This position offers the opportunity to build lasting relationships, provide compassionate care, and make a positive difference in the lives of older adults each day.

What You'll Do

As a Personal Care Resident Assistant (Level
1), you will:

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, toileting, mobility, and oral hygiene while honoring each resident's dignity and preferences.
  • Provide care according to each Resident Assessment and Support Plan (RASP) and supervisory direction.
  • Support residents with light housekeeping needs, including laundry, room tidiness, telephone assistance, and applying support stockings.
  • Assist with resident activities and engagement programs as needed.
  • Support dining services by serving beverages, delivering meals, and assisting residents during mealtimes.
  • Observe and report changes in resident condition promptly to the Charge Nurse.
  • Obtain and document vital signs, weights, intake and output, and other required records.
  • Maintain infection control, safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards.
  • Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and other resident care needs.
  • Follow all HIPAA, Corporate Compliance, and Fairmount policies and procedures.
Qualifications

We are seeking someone who:

  • Demonstrates compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to serve older adults.
  • Builds positive relationships with residents, families, coworkers, and visitors.
  • Works well as part of a team and contributes to a supportive work environment.
  • Maintains professionalism and composure in both routine and emotionally sensitive situations.
  • Can meet the physical requirements of the role, including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and assisting with resident transfers.

Med Tech Certification Requirement

Within 90 days of employment, team members in this position are required to complete the Med Tech course and successfully obtain certification.
