Fairmount Homes, Inc., a faith-based nonprofit continuing care retirement community in Ephrata, PA, is seeking compassionate CNAs for our Weekend Program. In this role, you will provide hands-on care to residents in skilled nursing and personal care, assisting with bathing, dressing, mobility, toileting, and meals while supporting each person's dignity and preferences. CNAs will closely observe and report changes in residents' conditions, maintain accurate documentation, and follow infection control and safety standards.
You'll work with in a close-knit, mission-driven team focused on resident-centered, high-quality long-term care. This position offers the opportunity to build strong relationships with seniors and their families while gaining valuable experience in geriatric and long-term care. Ideal candidates are reliable, compassionate, and comfortable working weekend shifts in a fast-paced, healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct resident care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance on weekend shifts
- Monitor and report changes in residents' condition to nurses promptly and accurately
- Assist residents with meals, hydration, and safe feeding as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided in accordance with facility policies
- Support residents' comfort, dignity, and emotional well-being in a faith-based setting
- Follow infection control, safety, and confidentiality standards at all times
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Assist with transferring and positioning residents using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly resident environment
- Participate in team huddles, trainings, and quality improvement efforts
