Required Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Engineer III: 3+ years of experience. Engineer IV: 6+ years of experience. Engineer V: 10+ years of experience. Utility experience in distribution, substations, transmission, or power delivery. Knowledge of engineering standards, specifications, and utility design practices. Strong technical writing, project management, and communication skills. PE license preferred but not required.

Job Description Grant PUD is seeking a Distribution & Standards Engineer to develop and maintain engineering standards that support transmission, distribution, and substation infrastructure throughout the utility. This role helps ensure equipment, materials, and designs meet safety, reliability, regulatory, and operational requirements.
Responsibilities Develop and maintain utility engineering standards and specifications. Review equipment, materials, and design packages for compliance. Support distribution and power delivery projects through technical reviews. Evaluate new technologies, products, and engineering practices. Develop procurement specifications for standard utility equipment. Support standards governance and continuous improvement initiatives. Provide technical guidance to engineering, operations, and construction teams. Participate in vendor evaluations, equipment reviews, and design assessments.
