Starting pay is based on job-related factors such as qualifications, experience, skills, internal alignment, and organizational needs. Grant County PUD will conduct a background check after a contingent offer of employment has been made, if selected for this position.

Position Summary

The Talent Acquisition Consultant I performs entry-level professional talent acquisition work by coordinating and executing full-cycle recruiting activities for assigned positions while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and District hiring requirements. This position is responsible for executing core recruiting activities including job postings, candidate communications, interview coordination, hiring manager support, applicant tracking system (ATS) administration, and coordination of assigned pre-employment and onboarding activities.

The role plays an important part in delivering a professional and timely candidate experience, maintaining accurate recruiting records, and supporting the District's talent acquisition processes. This position builds foundational knowledge of recruiting best practices, hiring compliance, and process improvement, and serves as an entry point into the Talent Acquisition career path, where accuracy, responsiveness, customer service, and continuous learning are critical to success and advancement.

  • Supports human resource activities across multiple functional areas; applies knowledge of respectful workplace practices and demonstrates awareness of cultural differences.
  • Provides routine information to employees, supervisors, and the public regarding HR rules, policies, and procedures; refers more complex issues to higher-level HR staff.
  • Assists with research, data gathering, and analysis of laws, policies, and HR practices; participates in revising and implementing HR processes under guidance.
  • Develops and maintains accurate and confidential employee records within HR systems; ensures data entry is timely and consistent with established standards.
  • Prepares basic reports, correspondence, and documentation to support HR operations and compliance requirements.
  • Assists in coordinating HR activities such as onboarding, training, recruitment processes, performance management, and benefit enrollment.
  • Participates in projects or assignments in support of HR initiatives and process improvements.
  • Executes assigned work plans safely, compliantly, on time, and in accordance with established standards, procedures, and standard work practices.
